Ab Veenema didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vakoufi Utd. After 11 minutes, Edgar Buys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ágætis Byrjun and the Vakoufi Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 minutes of play, Ágætis Byrjun's Robin Willemsen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giannis Peronosporopoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Stavros Kopidakis in the 20th minute of play forced Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Ab Veenema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ágætis Byrjun's zone, Stavros Kopidakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ab Veenema came out of the goal and Stavros Kopidakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the game, Thanos Grigorakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vakoufi Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ágætis Byrjun the free kick. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when Vakoufi Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanos Grigorakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Buys struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Giannis Peronosporopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Vakoufi Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Ax was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Boukjan Schalkwijk kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vakoufi Utd's Nikos Soukis got a free kick in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Vakoufi Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Buys came free, but Giannis Peronosporopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vakoufi Utd booed when Ágætis Byrjun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taco Westerink didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giorgos Kanakakis got free with Ab Veenema in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar Buys made a kick off. Giannis Peronosporopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Buys, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Edgar Buys recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Giannis Peronosporopoulos. Edgar Buys showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. When Edgar Buys was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 67 minutes had been played. A collision led to Ágætis Byrjun getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Edgar Buys hit a great ball. Ab Veenema showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stavros Kopidakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Robin Willemsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giannis Peronosporopoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robin Willemsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Ágætis Byrjun's Edgard Ax got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when Vakoufi Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giorgos Kanakakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ágætis Byrjun's Brain Diest got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vakoufi Utd's Giannis Peronosporopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boukjan Schalkwijk in the 82nd minute of play. If Brain Diest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robin Willemsen kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Ax. Ágætis Byrjun played a much better game than Vakoufi Utd and deserved their victory. The Vakoufi Utd players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
