With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihail Onaca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iacob Irimescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tommy Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Onaca having to interfere. Sonny Rosén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Tommy Hedlund notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Mihail Onaca. Mihail Onaca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tommy Hedlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Onaca having to interfere. If Sonny Rosén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Mean Machine booed when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Darabonț didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mean Machine's Sonny Rosén couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for F.C CLUJ MEDICINA. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nechifor Ciurea made a kick off. Viggo Vallin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nechifor Ciurea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mihail Onaca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Hedlund in the 54th minute of play. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mihail Onaca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Corneliu Borogeanu's late challenge caught a Mean Machine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corneliu Borogeanu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to F.C CLUJ MEDICINA getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Corneliu Borogeanu hit a great ball. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Mihail Onaca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Söder in the 82nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Lucian Gârniceanu got a free kick in the 84th minute. Mihail Onaca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrik Söder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Iacob Irimescu came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iacob Irimescu couldn't finish the play.
