Hugo Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Antônio Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Almeida having to interfere. Conrado Arruda hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Thomás Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Maria Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Almeida having to interfere. Geovanni Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antônio Cosme went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Dragões de Campo Grande booed when Brasiliense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Luiz Vaz hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. José Maria Coutinho struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Geovanni Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dragões de Campo Grande. Hugo Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 61 minutes into the game, Luís Fábio Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Hugo Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the game, Wilson Paulista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brasiliense FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragões de Campo Grande the free kick. A collision led to Brasiliense FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Wilson Paulista hit a great ball. Brasiliense FC's Geovanni Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Montenegro in the 67th minute of play. César Coelho took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Santos. Hugo Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Hugo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dragões de Campo Grande's Hugo Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Goiano in the 94th minute of play. Dragões de Campo Grande's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
