The supporters of forsal FC booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Sandrinho Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. In the 31st minute Carmine Alati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
