Vilhelm Zander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Catarinense having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Espigão Steamrollers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Leal to maneuver through the defense. After 17 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Renan Rosa. 20 minutes into the game, Karl-Erik Algren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Finninge Fotboll's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espigão Steamrollers the free kick. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when Finninge Fotboll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Erik Algren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Zander, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 45 played minutes, Espigão Steamrollers's Zé Paulo Barros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Magne Axelsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Espigão Steamrollers reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albin Biörk during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Albin Biörk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Adalberto Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Magne Axelsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 96 minutes, Gilbert Pihlberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Finninge Fotboll and the Espigão Steamrollers players grew even worse after the yellow card.
