In the 5th minute, Carlinhos Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Desportiva Paulo Afonso booed when Encanto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nico Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseu Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Garcia's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 0-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Francisco Garcia elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Francisco Garcia in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Encanto's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th minute, Sílvio Luís Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Garcia succeeded in the game's 29th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. A collision led to Encanto getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cássio Furlan hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Garcia in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseu Tasso saved Encanto from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Garcia made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Garcia in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliseu Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Garcia in the 61st minute of play forced Encanto's goalkeeper Eliseu Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match, Francisco Garcia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eliseu Tasso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The corner ended in Fernandinho Paes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Encanto's Eliseu Tasso did a great save. 65 minutes into the game, Francisco Garcia lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Eliseu Tasso. 68 minutes into the match, Francisco Garcia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eliseu Tasso, 0-4. Eliseu Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renatinho Braga came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eliseu Tasso could save by the left post. Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Olavo Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Furlan in the 78th minute of play. Encanto's Eliseu Tasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Encanto from getting a goal against them. Francisco Garcia struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Eliseu Tasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desportiva Paulo Afonso. In the 83rd minute Francisco Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseu Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Garcia in the 85th minute of play. Nico Passos hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 89 played minutes Desportiva Paulo Afonso got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Moraes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Velasco in the 92nd minute of play forced Desportiva Paulo Afonso's goalkeeper Olavo Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Garcia in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eliseu Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Desportiva Paulo Afonso's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
