After 41 played minutes, Purple Talents's Remco Van Der Elst shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Magne Axelsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Purple Talents reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remco Van Der Elst got free with Magne Axelsson in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dirk Smets took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Magne Axelsson. Finninge Fotboll's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vilhelm Zander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Remco Van Der Elst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. In the 95thth minute of the game Lieven Omblets who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Finninge Fotboll's Magne Axelsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Finninge Fotboll getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jens-Ove Vallmark hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Purple Talents fans cheered their team off the field, for while Finninge Fotboll had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
