Erik Moreira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Encanto's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 14 minutes into the match, Encanto's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Valadares came free, but Eliseu Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Erik Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Encanto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Nico Passos came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Encanto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nico Passos couldn't finish the play. After having played for 24 minutes, Nico Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Encanto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Passos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseu Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 28 played minutes Encanto got a freekick which was hit by Celso Eger. Eliseu Tasso came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Espigão Steamrollers's Zé Carlos Paranaense. But to his dismay, Zé Carlos Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 38 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Moreira came free, but Vicente Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Encanto got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Furlan. Zé Carlos Paranaense scored 0-3 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseu Tasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Moreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Encanto's Eliseu Tasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Encanto from getting a goal against them. Nico Passos hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. During the 60th minute of the match Cássio Furlan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cássio Furlan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when Encanto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otávio Valadares took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliseu Tasso. Eliseu Tasso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 70th minute, Zé Carlos Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eliseu Tasso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. If Erik Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Espigão Steamrollers's Otávio Valadares got a free kick in the 77th minute.
