After 3 played minutes Chihuahua StrikerS™ got a freekick which was hit by Dércio Pimenta. Olavo Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipólito Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cassiano Castanheira scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olavo Vasconcelos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Desportiva Paulo Afonso defense, Alex Santiago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olavo Vasconcelos. The Desportiva Paulo Afonso fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olavo Vasconcelos should have stopped the shot. 28 minutes into the game, one of Chihuahua StrikerS™:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Fernandinho Paes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Júlio Lemos. Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Olavo Vasconcelos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassiano Castanheira in the 34th minute of play. Cassiano Castanheira took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Vasconcelos. Olavo Vasconcelos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Renatinho Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Júlio Lemos threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Francisco Garcia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hipólito Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Elivélton Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 48 minutes into the match, Cassiano Castanheira notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Olavo Vasconcelos. Olavo Vasconcelos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

After 53 played minutes Chihuahua StrikerS™ got a freekick which was hit by Alex Santiago. Júlio Lemos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Francisco Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Lemos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Garcia in the 59th minute of play. Júlio Lemos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Braga in the 60th minute of the match. Júlio Lemos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Olavo Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Santiago in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Renatinho Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olavo Vasconcelos acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sabino Vilaverde. In the 69th minute, Chihuahua StrikerS™'s Cassiano Castanheira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olavo Vasconcelos. Olavo Vasconcelos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. Júlio Lemos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Garcia in the 73rd minute of the match. Rogério Borges hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute of the match Hélder Trigo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Júlio Lemos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Renatinho Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, one of Desportiva Paulo Afonso:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Desportiva Paulo Afonso. In the 97th minute Francisco Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Lemos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júlio Lemos came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Francisco Garcia. But to his dismay, Francisco Garcia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. Chihuahua StrikerS™ played a much better game than Desportiva Paulo Afonso and deserved their victory. The Desportiva Paulo Afonso players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
