The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Magne Axelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otávio Valadares went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Magne Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Jailson Sergipano charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jailson Sergipano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Jailson Sergipano. In the 9th minute, Luiz Fabiano Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the game, Albin Biörk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Finninge Fotboll's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espigão Steamrollers the free kick. Albin Biörk kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Magne Axelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otávio Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Espigão Steamrollers's Zé Carlos Paranaense got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as John Larsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emílio Romero. That made the score 1-2 in the 33 minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Espigão Steamrollers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karl-Åke Jakobsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Espigão Steamrollers's Otávio Valadares made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Magne Axelsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! John Larsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Nóbrega. Karl-Åke Jakobsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Karl-Åke Jakobsson fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Finninge Fotboll's protests and gave Karl-Åke Jakobsson a yellow card for diving instead. Karl-Åke Jakobsson hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Emílio Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Åke Jakobsson in the 71st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Otávio Valadares took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Magne Axelsson to make any attempt to save it. When Espigão Steamrollers's Zé Carlos Paranaense in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Finninge Fotboll's goalie prevented a goal. Magne Axelsson made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Otávio Valadares sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Finninge Fotboll defense, Otávio Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magne Axelsson. The Finninge Fotboll fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magne Axelsson should have stopped the shot. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Finninge Fotboll's goalkeeper Magne Axelsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Espigão Steamrollers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
