After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Isidro Ignazio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Diamante U18's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidro Ignazio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubinho Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 4 minutes into the match, ADM Taquaras's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Pudes came free, but Rubinho Abreu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Diamante U18 getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Lázaro Eneas hit a great ball. Rubinho Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Berriotxoa in the 11th minute of play. ADM Taquaras's Rubinho Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Berriotxoa in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Zé Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Sindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Deportivo Diamante U18's Vladimiro Juvenal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rubinho Abreu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Eriberto Sindo made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Reinaldo Ferraz sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Deportivo Diamante U18 getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Astor Monte hit a great ball. When ADM Taquaras's Reinaldo Ferraz in 29 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Eriberto Sindo guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Eriberto Sindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Viana in the 32nd minute of the match. Eriberto Sindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Madureira in the 36th minute of play. Vladimiro Juvenal scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rubinho Abreu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Deportivo Diamante U18 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeronimo Pudes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Vladimiro Juvenal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Diamante U18 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Abelardo Berriotxoa's late challenge caught a ADM Taquaras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo Berriotxoa helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes Deportivo Diamante U18 got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Berriotxoa. 60 minutes into the game, ADM Taquaras's Rodriguinho da Mata nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eriberto Sindo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. When Marcel Viana came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the ADM Taquaras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Viana couldn't finish the play. After 64 minutes, Ediberto Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ADM Taquaras and the Deportivo Diamante U18 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ediberto Varela hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. ADM Taquaras's Rubinho Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Berriotxoa in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of ADM Taquaras booed when Deportivo Diamante U18 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Cibran didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner ended in Ulises Frutos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ADM Taquaras's Rubinho Abreu did a great save. Abelardo Berriotxoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Rubinho Abreu made a huge save. The supporters of Deportivo Diamante U18 booed when ADM Taquaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Ediberto Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeronimo Pudes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubinho Abreu having to make a save. In the 94th minute of the match, Jeronimo Pudes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rubinho Abreu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 97th minute Deportivo Diamante U18 were awarded a corner. Ulises Frutos went to the cornerflag to take it. Deportivo Diamante U18's Ulises Frutos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rubinho Abreu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The ADM Taquaras fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deportivo Diamante U18 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
