The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xurxo Cosmen got free with Arvin Åström in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 5 minutes into the game, Jens-Ove Mattsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mansfield Town FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ...Pingue S.C.... the free kick. After 5 played minutes Mansfield Town FC got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Ove Mattsson. Vicente Villaverde hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Knut Rolfsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vigil Blanquel was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Jens-Ove Mattsson made a precise shot to the right of Vigil Blanquel. ...Pingue S.C....'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Arvin Åström made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ursino Boher sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute Knut Rolfsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vigil Blanquel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens-Ove Mattsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Mansfield Town FC booed when ...Pingue S.C.... was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Villaverde didn't get a good kick on the ball. Knut Rolfsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Vigil Blanquel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Mansfield Town FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Vigil Blanquel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Knut Rolfsson in the 57th minute. A collision led to ...Pingue S.C.... getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Elkin Corel hit a great ball. Mansfield Town FC made a substitution. Kasper Rönn replaced Jens-Ove Mattsson. Arvin Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Villaverde, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Vigil Blanquel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kasper Rönn in the 92nd minute. Vigil Blanquel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Knut Rolfsson in the 94th minute of the match. Mansfield Town FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
