The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedicto Precioso helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Cardo Ruso Cordobés was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Sanson to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceferino Domenec in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fermin Santos saved Atlético Nacional from getting behind. Amado Balendin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Atlético Nacional defense, Lorenzo Sanson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fermin Santos. The Atlético Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fermin Santos should have stopped the shot. In the 17th match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Aritza to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Benedicto Precioso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fermin Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Martines in the 20th minute of play. Aureliano Louis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Precioso, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Paulo Salbatore hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Fermin Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesar Salamon in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimeno Oso to maneuver through the defense. If Ceferino Domenec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute, Nicolas Aritza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Precioso in the 37th minute of play forced Cardo Ruso Cordobés's goalkeeper Aureliano Louis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Atlético Nacional's Aureliano Louis threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filiberto Precioso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filiberto Precioso to make the kick off. After 72 minutes of play, Cardo Ruso Cordobés's Ceferino Domenec made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fermin Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aureliano Louis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Manex, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aureliano Louis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Aritza in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Atlético Nacional getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Moises Abel hit a great ball. Benedicto Precioso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Fermin Santos made a huge save. Jeremias Manex kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match.
