Teodoro Costa made in the 8th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Rodolfo Pontes. If Igor Jaks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Internazionale-RS's Gino Gonçalves got control of the ball when Tobiasz Harbaszewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper Gino Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tobiasz Harbaszewski. Thiago Coutinho scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacek Ciupierdo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Dráuzio Saldanha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacek Ciupierdo. Fifth Chicken's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dráuzio Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Fifth Chicken's Tobiasz Harbaszewski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gino Gonçalves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Tobiasz Harbaszewski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fifth Chicken's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobiasz Harbaszewski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Internazionale-RS booed when Fifth Chicken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pal Patin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 minutes of play, Internazionale-RS's Rodolfo Pontes made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacek Ciupierdo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Internazionale-RS's Gino Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobiasz Harbaszewski in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Internazionale-RS's Zé Augusto Mazza was substituted for Rodolfo Pontes. Internazionale-RS's Roberto Sena was substituted for Thiago Coutinho. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobiasz Harbaszewski to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobiasz Harbaszewski in the 75th minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper Gino Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Tobiasz Harbaszewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fifth Chicken made a substitution. Damazy Lampe replaced Zygmunt Rywin. Tobiasz Harbaszewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Internazionale-RS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
