The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Bialski Bastion Legii booed when Internazionale-RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Internazionale-RS's Tarcisio Correia got a free kick in the 11th minute. Bernard Pilarczyk hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When Internazionale-RS's Rodolfo Pontes in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bialski Bastion Legii's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th minute Tobiasz Dudkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Witomir Wejta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodolfo Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 played minutes Bialski Bastion Legii got a freekick which was hit by Tobiasz Dudkowski. In the 34th minute, Boguslaw Juchno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Internazionale-RS booed when Bialski Bastion Legii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boguslaw Juchno didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tobiasz Dudkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernard Pilarczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Witomir Wejta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Túlio Vale. The goal made the score 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Stefan Makomaski was a little too slow when Tarcisio Correia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Daszkowski in the 62nd minute of play forced Internazionale-RS's goalkeeper Túlio Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Samuca Montenegro had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Tadeusz Orszak charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeusz Orszak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Internazionale-RS's Alfredinho Macedo was substituted for Samuca Montenegro. A collision led to Bialski Bastion Legii getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Tadeusz Orszak hit a great ball. Túlio Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wlodzimierz Daszkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dráuzio Saldanha's late challenge caught a Bialski Bastion Legii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dráuzio Saldanha helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dráuzio Saldanha in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Makomaski saved Bialski Bastion Legii from getting behind. If Rodriguinho Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the game, Ksawery Oliszewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bialski Bastion Legii's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Internazionale-RS the free kick. In the 81st minute, Ksawery Oliszewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bialski Bastion Legii's Stefan Makomaski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Bialski Bastion Legii from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Internazionale-RS's zone, Witomir Wejta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Túlio Vale came out of the goal and Witomir Wejta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Witomir Wejta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernard Pilarczyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Túlio Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobiasz Dudkowski scored 2-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Túlio Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Internazionale-RS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
