Jarana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Şamaxı Bankirlər the free kick. The supporters of Şamaxı Bankirlər booed when Jarana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Policarpio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şahin Bäylärov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Elpidio Primo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Jarana FC's goal looked a bit too open when Loğman Hacibabayev came free, but Elpidio Primo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angel Policarpio kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Melchor Gamus sped through Şamaxı Bankirlər's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Péter Čech. 22 minutes into the game, Jarana FC's Rolando Todor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Péter Čech made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Eugenio Benvido lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 26th match minute, Jarana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Benvido to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Loğman Hacibabayev broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jarana FC's Elpidio Primo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Jarana FC from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Aqil Bağiyev dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After the first half Jarana FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Qusif Zamanov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elpidio Primo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Péter Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Caitano in the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Pastor Caitano made a precise shot to the right of Péter Čech. Şamaxı Bankirlər's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şahin Bäylärov in the 87th minute of play forced Jarana FC's goalkeeper Elpidio Primo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
