Fire Breathers FC's Txaran Cancela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Nóbrega in the 4th minute of play. Txaran Cancela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bidun Ferreras received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. José Paulo Xavier came out and tried to block the shot, but Bidun Ferreras slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's José Paulo Xavier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute, Zeca Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Fire Breathers FC's Dani Murgia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Nóbrega in the 22nd minute of play forced Fire Breathers FC's goalkeeper Txaran Cancela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fire Breathers FC's Virgilio Moran got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After some careless play in the Fire Breathers FC defense, Geovani Vieira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Txaran Cancela. The Fire Breathers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Txaran Cancela should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Fire Breathers FC's Virgilio Moran got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Martino Torroba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Txaran Cancela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Bidun Ferreras hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Moran came free, but José Paulo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Germano Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fire Breathers FC's Txaran Cancela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Fire Breathers FC from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes into the match, Fire Breathers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Pernambucano came free, but Txaran Cancela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Zeca Garcia seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Zeca Garcia the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zeca Garcia had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 92nd minute, one of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rio Verde F.C CIMZ. The referee gave Fire Breathers FC a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cordarrell Zabala, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's José Paulo Xavier. 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fire Breathers FC.
