Dênis Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Airborne FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Paul Edworthy came free, but Diamantino de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Airborne FC's Diamantino de Queiroz got control of the ball when David Lowndes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hélio Terra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clive Blake read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute, John Paul Edworthy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clive Blake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Mesquita in the 24th minute of the match. When Hélio Terra came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Airborne FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélio Terra couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Airborne FC's Diamantino de Queiroz got control of the ball when David Lowndes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Clive Blake came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Airborne FC's Hélio Terra. But to his dismay, Hélio Terra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Diamantino de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Paul Edworthy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Lowndes got free with Diamantino de Queiroz in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41st match minute, Dorking United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dale Murphy to maneuver through the defense. Percival de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Diamantino de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Paul Edworthy, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Roger Faulkner kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Clive Blake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Airborne FC. In the 76th minute Hélio Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Blake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dale Murphy came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Dorking United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Murphy couldn't finish the play. Dale Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Airborne FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
