A collision led to Airborne FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Dudu Mesquita hit a great ball. Percival de Mendonça hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Airborne FC's Percival de Mendonça got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute of the match Braulio Loi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diamantino de Queiroz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's goalkeeper Fernando Tab had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dudu Mesquita. Jonatan Salvatore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Epifanio Orkatz notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Airborne FC's Diamantino de Queiroz. Diamantino de Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th minute, Airborne FC's Hélio Terra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Melo got free with Fernando Tab in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Terra in the 35th minute of play forced Barrilete Cósmico's goalkeeper Fernando Tab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Hélio Terra put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fernando Tab. In the 42nd minute Epifanio Orkatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Frank Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes Airborne FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Paes. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Epifanio Orkatz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hélio Terra might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Tab. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 66th minute Hélio Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Tab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 minutes of play, Airborne FC's Hélio Terra made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Tab was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dudu Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Tab having to interfere. Jonatan Cuarto's late challenge caught a Airborne FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonatan Cuarto helped the player get up and apologised. Barrilete Cósmico's Fernando Tab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Mesquita in the 89th minute of play.
