Diamantino de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Paul Edworthy in the 2nd minute of the match. The supporters of Airborne FC booed when Dorking United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Faulkner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélio Terra struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Clive Blake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Airborne FC. In the 14th minute, Hélio Terra fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. David Lowndes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Diamantino de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 minutes, John Paul Edworthy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dorking United FC and the Airborne FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Dorking United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Paul Edworthy to maneuver through the defense. In the 36thth minute of the game Hélio Terra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dorking United FC's Clive Blake was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sammy Curtis fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. There was no doubt that Airborne FC were the better team. Airborne FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
