An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Orkatz in the 5th minute of play forced Airborne FC's goalkeeper Diamantino de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Jonatan Salvatore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrilete Cósmico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Airborne FC the free kick. A collision led to Barrilete Cósmico getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Fernando Tab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexsandro Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Hélio Terra put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fernando Tab. 24 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Terra came free, but Fernando Tab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes, Amador Mundo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrilete Cósmico and the Airborne FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Barrilete Cósmico getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Amador Mundo hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Hélio Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Airborne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélio Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Tab breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Diamantino de Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonatan Cuarto in the 32nd minute. Marcelo Paes hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Terra came free, but Fernando Tab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cássio Maciel hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The supporters of Airborne FC booed when Barrilete Cósmico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Mundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Terra came free, but Fernando Tab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Barrilete Cósmico players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Airborne FC were winning 0-2.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Airborne FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! 59 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's Jonatan Cuarto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diamantino de Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexsandro Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Fernando Tab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Airborne FC's Alexsandro Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexsandro Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Tab having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Jonatan Cuarto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Chicão Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Airborne FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chicão Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Tab breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando Tab made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexsandro Simões in the 77th minute. After 79 minutes of play, Airborne FC's Alexsandro Simões made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Tab was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernando Tab made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Alexsandro Simões sent off a good shot on target. When Jonatan Salvatore was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. In the 90th minute, one of Barrilete Cósmico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barrilete Cósmico. Hélio Terra shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 93rd match minute, Barrilete Cósmico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Mundo to maneuver through the defense. Barrilete Cósmico's Fernando Tab proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Barrilete Cósmico from getting a goal against them. Fernando Tab came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Airborne FC's Alexsandro Simões. But to his dismay, Alexsandro Simões quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Airborne FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
