Jules De Groote fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Otoniel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Beturian in the 16th minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Nic Cox to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes in the game, Fre Van Acker fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Benedicto Otoniel having to interfere. When Arturo Madaleno fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Escocia's protests and gave Arturo Madaleno a yellow card for diving instead. 33 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Benedicto Otoniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jules De Groote. Benedicto Otoniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jules De Groote in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tijs Colebinders in the 43rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Benedicto Otoniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Marcos Beturian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Escocia's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Beturian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nic Cox breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Narciso Sauveur charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narciso Sauveur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Club Atlético Escocia got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Sauveur. Tijs Colebinders struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Benedicto Otoniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Haithabu FC. The supporters of Haithabu FC booed when Club Atlético Escocia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Elazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haithabu FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Arturo Madaleno scored to the left of an out of position Nic Cox, making the score, 0-1. Marcos Beturian hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Haithabu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Madaleno came free, but Nic Cox reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Otoniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tijs Colebinders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Haithabu FC's much stronger midfield.
