An unexpectedly hard shot by Brecht La Rose in the 4th minute of play forced Club Atlético Escocia's goalkeeper Benedicto Otoniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Haithabu FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Narciso Sauveur was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Escocia's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Celestino Jaen almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Haithabu FC's Nic Cox did a great save. Arturo Madaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Nic Cox tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arturo Madaleno during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arturo Madaleno hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Narciso Sauveur fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Escocia's protests and gave Narciso Sauveur a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Club Atlético Escocia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Haithabu FC:s goal. Benedicto Otoniel had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Kevin De Wyngaert's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 21st minute, Kevin De Wyngaert made a precise shot to the right of Benedicto Otoniel. Club Atlético Escocia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Club Atlético Escocia booed when Haithabu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Peten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basilio Elixio might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nic Cox. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haithabu FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Arturo Madaleno scored to the left of an out of position Nic Cox, making the score, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

But to his dismay, Arturo Madaleno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The supporters of Haithabu FC booed when Club Atlético Escocia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltasar Elazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute, Brecht La Rose got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Haithabu FC's Brecht La Rose got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Nic Cox made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Elixio in the 87th minute of play. Baltasar Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jules De Groote recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haithabu FC's Nic Cox played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Madaleno in the 97th minute of play.
