Helge Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Sena in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute Agne Isaksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo Sampaio charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Sampaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sunkens Surtröjor booed when A A Arizona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helge Bäckström didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 17th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Simão Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Helge Bäckström made a huge save. Helge Bäckström made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Hermínio Veloso sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, A A Arizona's Simão Sena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Helge Bäckström. Helge Bäckström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Helge Bäckström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Simão Sena dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Helge Bäckström, 4-0. After 48 played minutes Sunkens Surtröjor got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Waller. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Nilton Seco made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Sena in the 62nd minute of play forced Sunkens Surtröjor's goalkeeper Helge Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Johan Lekberg charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Johan Lekberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A A Arizona's Valdemar Aguiar was substituted for Tarcisio Terra. A collision led to Sunkens Surtröjor getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Karl-Johan Lekberg hit a great ball. Morgan Håning was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 71 minutes into the match. A A Arizona's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jesper Håkansson 77 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-1. Helge Bäckström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Valdemar Aguiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Helge Bäckström. Sunkens Surtröjor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdemar Aguiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Ademir Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesper Håkansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Valdemar Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Helge Bäckström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. A A Arizona had played much better football throughout.
