Türk Polis Gücü's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fawaz Boland kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Ahmet Nasir Armağan scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Alberto Chilavert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 25 played minutes Golden Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Rida Al Hajri. José Alberto Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Koralp Orgunalp in the 27th minute of the match. After the first half Türk Polis Gücü were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ahmet Koralp Orgunalp made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Golden Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Khalefa Al Hadad. Ahmet Koralp Orgunalp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Alberto Chilavert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Türk Polis Gücü's Ahmet Çağrı Sağlamtürk was substituted for Ahmet Koralp Orgunalp. Türk Polis Gücü played a much better game than Golden Tigers and deserved their victory. The Golden Tigers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
