Forrest Gumpfer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Alberto Chilavert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, Mikael Valrot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th match minute, Golden Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Al Towatan to maneuver through the defense. Orvar Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Alberto Chilavert having to interfere. A collision led to Golden Tigers getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Esam Al Hashash hit a great ball. Niklas Ström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ali Al Towatan went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute, Orvar Gustafsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UÅ Mästerbotten fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. José Alberto Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orvar Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Alberto Chilavert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orvar Gustafsson in the 27th minute. Esam Al Hashash kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. José Alberto Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Gustafsson in the 34th minute of play. Forrest Gumpfer took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Alberto Chilavert. José Alberto Chilavert dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 45 minutes into the match, Forrest Gumpfer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Alberto Chilavert. Golden Tigers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Forrest Gumpfer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Forrest Gumpfer made the kick off in the second half. Calle Lundqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 50th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calle Lundqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, UÅ Mästerbotten's Albin Rönn got a free kick in the 57th minute. UÅ Mästerbotten's Niklas Ström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qutaiba Al Ateqi in the 60th minute of play. José Alberto Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Gustafsson in the 67th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orvar Gustafsson in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Alberto Chilavert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orvar Gustafsson in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Alberto Chilavert saved Golden Tigers from getting behind. In the 85th minute, one of Golden Tigers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Golden Tigers. 92 minutes into the match, Mikael Valrot notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Golden Tigers's José Alberto Chilavert. José Alberto Chilavert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. UÅ Mästerbotten's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
