After 8 played minutes Golden Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Fawaz Boland. 12 minutes into the match, Golden Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Viviano came free, but José Alberto Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basem Al Baghli kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. José Alberto Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Weather in the 16th minute of play. Qutaiba Al Ateqi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Abel Gilesindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerardo Viviano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Scofield's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Golden Tigers's Ali Al Towatan got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Alberto Chilavert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clodoveo Huly in the 26th minute. Luisito Blasi came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and José Alberto Chilavert could save by the left post. If Clodoveo Huly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute Ali Al Towatan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Gilesindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, José Alberto Chilavert successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 35th match minute, Scofield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Elorri to maneuver through the defense. Abel Gilesindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakem Al Attar, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Scofield's Clodoveo Huly dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ali Al Towatan was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Scofield got a freekick which was hit by Roman Elorri. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clodoveo Huly in the 54th minute of play forced Golden Tigers's goalkeeper José Alberto Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Al Towatan hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Clodoveo Huly had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Alberto Chilavert. Golden Tigers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clodoveo Huly was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Clodoveo Huly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Alberto Chilavert having to interfere. Golden Tigers's José Alberto Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Huly in the 64th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Gerardo Viviano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Alberto Chilavert was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. If Luisito Blasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Scofield fans cheered their team off the field, for while Golden Tigers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
