Sjaak Saarloos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Cross having to interfere. Sebastian Cross was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gerard Mulder showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Taco Neeskens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Fowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Sven Keupink's late challenge caught a Clapham Comets F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Keupink helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th match minute, FC Bal op het Dak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Keupink to maneuver through the defense. Vern Calder kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Bal op het Dak's Hans de Graaf tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Calvin Bourton notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Bal op het Dak's Taco Neeskens. Taco Neeskens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Vern Calder got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Taco Neeskens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from CJ Trusswell in the 25th minute of the match. When FC Bal op het Dak's Sjaak Saarloos in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chip Preece to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Fowler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Taco Neeskens. That made the score 2-2 in the 51 minute of play. Sebastian Cross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Mulder in the 57th minute of play. Frank Fowler scored 2-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taco Neeskens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barney Bzeu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjaak Saarloos in the 64th minute of play forced Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Sebastian Cross to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68thth minute of the game Sjaak Saarloos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clapham Comets F.C.'s Sebastian Cross was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sjaak Saarloos in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Cross saved Clapham Comets F.C. from getting behind. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Sebastian Cross played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerard Mulder in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Bal op het Dak's Jan Rein Helwig got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Mulder came free, but Sebastian Cross reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sjaak Saarloos in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Cross saved Clapham Comets F.C. from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Pierre Whittingham got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
