But to his dismay, Justo Clementi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Niceto Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klement Dupal in the 22nd minute of the match. Santos Bertol lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 36th minute, one of El ultimo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El ultimo. In the 38th minute, Pavol Kaščák made a precise shot to the right of Niceto Pere. El ultimo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Tibor Barmoš managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFK Petržalka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tibor Barmoš was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Klement Dupal made the kick off in the second half. Justo Clementi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Adamčík having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tibor Barmoš in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niceto Pere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Tomáš Nickler got a free kick in the 54th minute. Tibor Barmoš struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Niceto Pere didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFK Petržalka. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by AFK Petržalka's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Justo Hermelando was slow to take the kick. During this time El ultimo's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tibor Barmoš in the 67th minute of play forced El ultimo's goalkeeper Niceto Pere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niceto Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Barmoš in the 73rd minute of play.
