The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilton Paes during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Nova Venécia-ES's Wilton Paes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th match minute, Nova Venécia-ES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Paes to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute of the match Norbert Zatorski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guga Neves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Nova Venécia-ES defense, Barnaba Cholewa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guga Neves. The Nova Venécia-ES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guga Neves should have stopped the shot. Barnaba Cholewa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Guga Neves made a huge save. 12 minutes into the match, Olgierd Kojder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guga Neves. Nova Venécia-ES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olgierd Kojder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. With a little luck, Nova Venécia-ES's Guga Neves got control of the ball when Olgierd Kojder tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damian Limanowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir Varela in the 17th minute of play. Guga Neves made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Barnaba Cholewa sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st match minute, Nova Venécia-ES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Pitta to maneuver through the defense. Guga Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olgierd Kojder in the 24th minute. A collision led to Varsovia getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Norbert Zatorski hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Cholewa came free, but Guga Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nova Venécia-ES's Wilton Paes got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Wilton Paes off the ground. In the 37th minute, Wilton Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guga Neves was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Kajetan Siwy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kajetan Siwy really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Luís Guilherme de Mendonça was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the game, one of Nova Venécia-ES:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Nova Venécia-ES booed when Varsovia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Kojder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guga Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Zatorski, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Kojder came free, but Guga Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nova Venécia-ES's Gildo de Carvalho got a free kick in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Olgierd Kojder notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Nova Venécia-ES's Guga Neves. Guga Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Cholewa came free, but Guga Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 minutes of play Varsovia's Olgierd Kojder was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Olgierd Kojder hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Guga Neves came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Varsovia's Sylwester Glogowski. But to his dismay, Sylwester Glogowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0.
