After 4 minutes, Sergio Bertran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Big Babousa and the Decathlon Dudes players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Big Babousa getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Sergio Bertran hit a great ball. In the 4th minute of the match Bart Schild sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Monico Montoya skillfully saved the ball. In the 8th minute, Wesley van Rhijn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Decathlon Dudes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gerrit Kemper was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wesley van Rhijn in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Monico Montoya saved Big Babousa from getting behind. Silvestre Maurino kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Wesley van Rhijn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Monico Montoya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley van Rhijn, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Wesley van Rhijn put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Monico Montoya. A collision led to Big Babousa getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Silvestre Maurino hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Bernabe Bazil dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gerrit Kemper, 2-2. Emanuel Mero's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gerrit Kemper firmly grabbed it by the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wesley van Rhijn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wesley van Rhijn in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Monico Montoya saved Big Babousa from getting behind. In the 56th minute Decathlon Dudes were awarded a corner. Bart Schild went to the cornerflag to take it. 59 minutes into the match, Big Babousa's goalkeeper Monico Montoya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wesley van Rhijn. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wesley van Rhijn in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Monico Montoya saved Big Babousa from getting behind. Monico Montoya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wesley van Rhijn, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Wesley van Rhijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wesley van Rhijn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Monico Montoya made a huge save. Monico Montoya was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wesley van Rhijn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 74 minute of play. After some careless play in the Big Babousa defense, Alex Deinse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Monico Montoya. The Big Babousa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Monico Montoya should have stopped the shot. Gerrit Kemper came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Big Babousa's Sergio Bertran. But to his dismay, Sergio Bertran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. Monico Montoya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Janus in the 88th minute. Decathlon Dudes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
