Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) SoS FC's Vilhelm Lindgren started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, SoS FC's William Östlund got a free kick in the 8th minute. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when SoS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilhelm Bern didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kåre Ros hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Manfred Ros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Möhn in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sydney FC's Harald Inger got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Frykberg in the 21st minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Florian Guderian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Rolf Frykberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Kees Plappert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manfred Ros. Kees Plappert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when SoS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Östlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SoS FC's Anton Dahlgren got a free kick in the 35th minute. Florian Guderian came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by SoS FC's Rolf Frykberg. But to his dismay, Rolf Frykberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kees Plappert was the one to do the kick off. Vilhelm Lindgren kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolf Frykberg in the 53rd minute of play forced Sydney FC's goalkeeper Florian Guderian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sydney FC's Florian Guderian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Frykberg in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goalkeeper Florian Guderian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolf Frykberg. When Sydney FC's Kees Plappert in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SoS FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 59 played minutes SoS FC got a freekick which was hit by Per-Åke Paulin. Rolf Frykberg struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Florian Guderian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SoS FC. In the 63rd minute, Kees Plappert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manfred Ros was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 68 minutes into the game, Kees Plappert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sydney FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SoS FC the free kick. After 68 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Kees Plappert. Kees Plappert hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, SoS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kees Plappert came free, but Manfred Ros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vilhelm Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Guderian having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SoS FC's Anton Dahlgren got a free kick in the 96th minute. Manfred Ros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kees Plappert in the 97th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Sydney FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
