The referee ignored Piquirenda FC's protests and gave Silvestre Peter a yellow card for diving instead. Silvestre Peter hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Silvestre Peter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piquirenda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Peter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Big Babousa's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Peter came free, but Monico Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monico Montoya made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Delmiro Intxixu sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Piquirenda FC booed when Big Babousa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Lorenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monico Montoya was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Amadeo Matxin. After the first half Big Babousa were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Haritz made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Big Babousa's Gustavo Haritz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Freddy Elequemedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victorio Eguntsenti scored 1-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Monico Montoya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute Gustavo Haritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cristo Mino fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piquirenda FC's protests and gave Cristo Mino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd match minute, Piquirenda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Mino to maneuver through the defense. Big Babousa's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Piquirenda FC had won, even though Big Babousa had held more of the ball.
