C. were furious when Carlos Arantes was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 13 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Arantes. Douglas Viana acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 14th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Justo Guerrero. Rene Tristan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Viana made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Victoriano Acosta sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Yan Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Crescencio. After 24 minutes of play, SORRISO E. C.'s Horácio Pereira made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rene Tristan was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Pereira in the 27th minute of play forced C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's goalkeeper Rene Tristan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's Rene Tristan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Pereira in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's zone, Horácio Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Tristan came out of the goal and Horácio Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Horácio Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horácio Pereira struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Rene Tristan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SORRISO E. C.. Rene Tristan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo da Rocha in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half SORRISO E. C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gaston Matthew made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Matthew came free, but Douglas Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douglas Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Acosta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Douglas Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victoriano Acosta in the 53rd minute of the match. A hard shot 61 in the game by Horácio Pereira from a close distance when the talented Rene Tristan managed to make a qualified save. C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's players were relieved. In the 61st match minute, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Berto to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Paulin. Horácio Pereira struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Rene Tristan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SORRISO E. C.. 70 minutes into the match, C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's goalkeeper Rene Tristan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horácio Pereira. Horácio Pereira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Rene Tristan made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel da Rocha in the 72nd minute of play forced C.S. y D. GENERAL LAVALLE's goalkeeper Rene Tristan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as SORRISO E. C.'s Horácio Pereira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rene Tristan. That made the score 0-4 after 75 minutes of play. Rene Tristan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio Pereira in the 81st minute. Horácio Pereira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Rene Tristan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Horácio Pereira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SORRISO E. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. SORRISO E. C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
