Nemesio Firman came out of the goal and Gilberto Bitxintxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nereo Nevada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Osasun in the 12th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Fabio Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 25 played minutes Despidida AFC got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Olentzaro. Nereo Nevada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Osasun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niceto Lluciano charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niceto Lluciano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Bendito Sea El Fernet's Niceto Lluciano got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute of the match Dante Mogel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nereo Nevada showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fabio Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nereo Nevada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Bendito Sea El Fernet were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Peli to make the kick off. The supporters of Bendito Sea El Fernet booed when Despidida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Peli didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquin Rosio during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when Bendito Sea El Fernet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Rosio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Osasun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Nereo Nevada when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Bendito Sea El Fernet supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bendito Sea El Fernet would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
