An unexpectedly hard shot by Ntinos Tzikas in the 13th minute of play forced Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's goalkeeper Ingmar Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Nils-Erik Lövkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Brahim Charradi came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Étoile Sportive Du Sahel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brahim Charradi couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Avraam Maggioros threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Robert Kilberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Avraam Maggioros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils-Erik Lövkvist in the 28th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Brahim Charradi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Nils-Erik Lövkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Avraam Maggioros made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Brahim Charradi took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Avraam Maggioros to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Kilberg got free with Avraam Maggioros in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robert Kilberg to make the kick off. Pagos FC's Avraam Maggioros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brahim Charradi in the 54th minute of play. The referee ignored Pagos FC's protests and gave Ntinos Tzikas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pagos FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ntinos Tzikas hit a great ball. Pagos FC's Avraam Maggioros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Kilberg in the 79th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kostas Karalexopoulos during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
