Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Ingmar Hellström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 24 minutes into the match, FC XY's goal looked a bit too open when Sofiane Charradi came free, but Peter Adamek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24thth minute of the game Sofiane Charradi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC XY's Peter Adamek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, FC XY's Gabriel Bučko seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gabriel Bučko the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC XY protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gabriel Bučko had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC XY! Peter Adamek had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Sofiane Charradi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Étoile Sportive Du Sahel getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Robert Kilberg hit a great ball. Peter Adamek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sofiane Charradi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after FC XY's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jim Frisck took the corner. Peter Adamek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sofiane Charradi in the 38th minute of play. Étoile Sportive Du Sahel's Ingmar Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Vičík in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tibor Konkoly made a kick off. Ingmar Hellström made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Richard Vičík sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of FC XY booed when Étoile Sportive Du Sahel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sofiane Charradi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tibor Konkoly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ingmar Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A wasted opportunity for Étoile Sportive Du Sahel. After a rather tough play, FC XY's Pavol Wagner got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Peter Adamek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sofiane Charradi, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Peter Adamek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sofiane Charradi in the 97th minute of play. The Étoile Sportive Du Sahel players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
