In the 5thth minute of the game Patrick Möllgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nitra FC's André Luiz Koehler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nitra FC's attentive Durval Tasso managed to snatch the ball when Patrik Holm made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Nitra FC's zone, Sven-Olof Elg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Luiz Koehler came out of the goal and Sven-Olof Elg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrick Möllgren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, André Luiz Koehler skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Nitra FC's goalkeeper André Luiz Koehler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 30th minute, Sven-Olof Elg made a precise shot to the right of André Luiz Koehler. Nitra FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Alexandre Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bengt Ånger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Bueno during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tord Jakobsson made the kick off in the second half. Mark Malmberg charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mark Malmberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. André Luiz Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Möllgren in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Tord Jakobsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cheetah Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nitra FC's goalkeeper André Luiz Koehler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rodrigo Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Jakobsson in the 73rd minute of play forced Nitra FC's goalkeeper André Luiz Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Nitra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tord Jakobsson came free, but André Luiz Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cheetah Team booed when Nitra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Augusto Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cheetah Team's Bengt Ånger got control of the ball when Augusto Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Augusto Barral hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 95 played minutes Cheetah Team got a freekick which was hit by Agne Bergfelt. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cheetah Team fans cheered their team off the field, for while Nitra FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
