Legia Warszawa's Boleslaw Mindykowski got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Brad Missen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wiktor Gdaniec charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wiktor Gdaniec the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Legia Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiktor Gdaniec to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Jakub Furlit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raleigh Dale. 17 minutes into the game, Raleigh Dale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jakub Furlit was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Elderslie Magpies getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Mack Barker hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match Iwan Ledochowski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Corder Clubley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 39 minutes, Martin Bailey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elderslie Magpies and the Legia Warszawa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Legia Warszawa's Iwan Ledochowski couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Elderslie Magpies. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Brad Missen made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Elderslie Magpies's Ed Howard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jakub Furlit made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Elderslie Magpies's Raleigh Dale got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brad Missen in the 70th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Jakub Furlit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beniamin Poling kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's Ed Howard broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Krzysztof Dobrzechowski came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Legia Warszawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Krzysztof Dobrzechowski couldn't finish the play. Corder Clubley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krzysztof Dobrzechowski in the 78th minute of play. Corder Clubley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beniamin Poling in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Alfred Badanowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Beniamin Poling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Corder Clubley was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Brad Missen scored 4-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jakub Furlit, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Legia Warszawa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
