Stefan Mårtensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jakub Furlit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jakub Furlit made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Beckman in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Jakub Furlit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute Krzysztof Dobrzechowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Rolfsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes AIK FOTBOLL got a freekick which was hit by Aleksander Stålman. 28 minutes into the match, AIK FOTBOLL's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Rekawiczka came free, but Ivar Rolfsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Boleslaw Mindykowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olgierd Rekawiczka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivar Rolfsson having to interfere. When Boleslaw Mindykowski came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Legia Warszawa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boleslaw Mindykowski couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Legia Warszawa's zone, Nils-Erik Brogren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jakub Furlit came out of the goal and Nils-Erik Brogren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Örjan Kaxe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AIK FOTBOLL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Örjan Kaxe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to AIK FOTBOLL getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Börge Örtendahl hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oscar Beckman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Krzysztof Dobrzechowski struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Ivar Rolfsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legia Warszawa. In the 55th minute, Olgierd Rekawiczka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, AIK FOTBOLL's goalkeeper Ivar Rolfsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olgierd Rekawiczka. Andreas Colin charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andreas Colin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, one of AIK FOTBOLL:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AIK FOTBOLL. Legia Warszawa's Jakub Furlit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Mårtensson in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa's Krzysztof Dobrzechowski got a free kick in the 68th minute. AIK FOTBOLL's Rune Abrahamsson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beniamin Poling hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. With a little luck, AIK FOTBOLL's Ivar Rolfsson got control of the ball when Boleslaw Mindykowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oscar Beckman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Legia Warszawa getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Krzysztof Dobrzechowski hit a great ball. When AIK FOTBOLL's Oscar Beckman in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Legia Warszawa's goalie prevented a goal. Oscar Beckman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Oscar Beckman made a precise shot to the right of Jakub Furlit. Legia Warszawa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. AIK FOTBOLL's Oscar Beckman got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Rune Abrahamsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. AIK FOTBOLL's supporters rose to their feet, but Rune Abrahamsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jakub Furlit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AIK FOTBOLL had won after a very even match.
