Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The referee felt a red card was in order, 2 minutes into the game, when Clodoveo Vellito put in a rough tackle. In the 3rd minute, Clodoveo Vellito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Dorival Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Salomone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Neto. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Simão in the 15th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Primitivo Salomone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Salomone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Gaspar Cordarryl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafim Simão took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Primitivo Salomone. Primitivo Salomone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Primitivo Salomone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jhon Barcellos, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Sandy Ogrocki threw the ball into play from the sideline. SAN LORENZO FC's Nereo Timo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 37 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Barcellos came free, but Primitivo Salomone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Fantini to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Palestra do Interior were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafim Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Barcellos came free, but Primitivo Salomone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Salomone was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dorival Almeida showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 65 minute of play. SAN LORENZO FC's Primitivo Salomone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Almeida in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Dedé Mazer hit a great ball. Primitivo Salomone made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Serafim Simão sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivo Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the SAN LORENZO FC defense, Dorival Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Primitivo Salomone. The SAN LORENZO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Primitivo Salomone should have stopped the shot. Dorival Almeida's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Primitivo Salomone firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ivo Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serafim Simão came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Primitivo Salomone could save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clodoveo Corderro during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Corderro. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Corderro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Palestra do Interior players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
