After 4 minutes, Lars Dahlgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gnuville BK and the Palestra do Interior players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Gnuville BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Dahlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Gnuville BK's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Barcellos came free, but Peder Boklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, William Luz made a precise shot to the right of Peder Boklund. Gnuville BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 19 minutes of play, Palestra do Interior's Serafim Simão made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peder Boklund was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by William Luz in the 23rd minute of play forced Gnuville BK's goalkeeper Peder Boklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peder Boklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joakim Vennerkvist's late challenge caught a Palestra do Interior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joakim Vennerkvist helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Gnuville BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Vennerkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's David Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peder Boklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Gnuville BK's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Barcellos came free, but Peder Boklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gnuville BK's Peder Boklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhon Barcellos in the 42nd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Elói Prestes. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

52 minutes into the game, Jhon Barcellos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Peder Boklund. Jhon Barcellos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Serafim Simão scored 0-4 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peder Boklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. During the 63rd minute of the match Joakim Vennerkvist completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Joakim Vennerkvist a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. With a little luck, Gnuville BK's Peder Boklund got control of the ball when Serafim Simão tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Serafim Simão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peder Boklund. Gnuville BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serafim Simão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. David Vale was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jhon Barcellos did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Peder Boklund 73 minutes into the match. Ulysses Neto charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulysses Neto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Dedé Mazer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Peder Boklund. That made the score 0-7 in the 80 minute of play. Franklin de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Peder Boklund made a huge save. Serafim Simão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Peder Boklund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Serafim Simão took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Peder Boklund to make any attempt to save it. 94 minutes into the match, Gnuville BK's goal looked a bit too open when Jhon Barcellos came free, but Peder Boklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
