The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marc Eklund during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute, Marc Eklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Di Röe's Henry Forsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam-Lucas Van Achteren in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Beek City were awarded a corner. Natan Rouvoet went to the cornerflag to take it. Alfons Declercq made a great header on Beek City's corner, it was just that Di Röe's Henry Forsberg managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 13th minute, Natan Rouvoet made a precise shot to the right of Henry Forsberg. Di Röe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Natan Rouvoet took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henry Forsberg. Henry Forsberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 27th minute Sam-Lucas Van Achteren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Beek City's Natan Rouvoet broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sam-Lucas Van Achteren during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 39 minutes into the match, Natan Rouvoet notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Di Röe's Henry Forsberg. Henry Forsberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute Natan Rouvoet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Beek City booed when Di Röe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dag Hagström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sam-Lucas Van Achteren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Beek City got a freekick which was hit by Sam-Lucas Van Achteren. 57 minutes into the match, Di Röe's Isac Norström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thierry Lenaerts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Beek City's Natan Rouvoet got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natan Rouvoet in the 67th minute of play forced Di Röe's goalkeeper Henry Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Olof Berggren made in the 70th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Beek City's Xavier Claessens. Natan Rouvoet came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Henry Forsberg could save by the left post. Henry Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natan Rouvoet, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Albert Nyman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beek City's Thierry Lenaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Eklund in the 80th minute of play. Thierry Lenaerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Eklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Natan Rouvoet came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Beek City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natan Rouvoet couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Beek City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
