In the 9th minute Armando Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Winkler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otis Robles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Luís Sergipano having to make a save. In the 15th play minute Winford Barnes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedro Luís Sergipano. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Otis Robles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inmortales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Otis Robles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Luís Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Winford Barnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Otis Robles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Luís Sergipano. The goal made the score 3-0. Winford Barnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Sergipano having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Otis Robles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inmortales FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otis Robles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jardel Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamboril's protests and gave Jardel Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Tamboril was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luís Sergipano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otis Robles in the 40th minute. César de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Tamboril's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Inmortales FC. Otis Robles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Luís Sergipano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narciso Terra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Inmortales FC booed when Tamboril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Inmortales FC got a freekick which was hit by Rory Pruett. Rolando Winkler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Pernambucano in the 62nd minute of play. Otis Robles charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otis Robles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Otis Robles kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Edward Harrison was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Inmortales FC's Edward Harrison got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Ruy Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Tamboril fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruy Araújo couldn't finish the play. Zack Sneed kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. A hard shot by Ruy Araújo from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Rolando Winkler's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 90 played minutes Tamboril got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Araújo. There was no doubt that Inmortales FC were the better team. Inmortales FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
