Gregory Shearn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Jönsson in the 4th minute of play. Gregory Shearn was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Simon Drake capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Simon Drake really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Sonny Majman came free, but Gregory Shearn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Hollingworth scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sixten Tunström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gregory Shearn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Drake in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Jönsson in the 20th minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Gregory Shearn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Boroondara Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Jönsson came free, but Gregory Shearn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Boroondara Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Drake Boneheyo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Majman in the 30th minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Gregory Shearn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Wilhelm Jönsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepsi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilhelm Jönsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Nilson Pfingst fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boroondara Milan's protests and gave Nilson Pfingst a yellow card for diving instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jordon Czaczka to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Drake in the 51st minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Gregory Shearn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilson Pfingst kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When Nilson Pfingst was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. A collision led to Boroondara Milan getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Nilson Pfingst hit a great ball. Charlie Kling took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gregory Shearn. Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 58th minute Knut Backlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregory Shearn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregory Shearn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Knut Backlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Simon Drake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Shearn having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Pepsi FC's Ola Söderqwist got a free kick in the 67th minute. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Jordon Czaczka sped through Pepsi FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sixten Tunström. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Woods in the 72nd minute of play forced Pepsi FC's goalkeeper Sixten Tunström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Boroondara Milan's Rudy Petty got a free kick in the 76th minute. Sixten Tunström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordon Czaczka in the 78th minute of the match. After 93 minutes of play, Pepsi FC's Simon Drake made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gregory Shearn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gregory Shearn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Jönsson in the 96th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
