After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Adelino Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Adelino Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Villafane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 19th minute, Perivaldo Valle fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 24 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Mussoll came free, but Aloísio Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Gallego in the 24th minute of play forced Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Aloísio Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Inter de Guayaquil FC got a corner. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gabriel Gallego ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcelo Calenga kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Marcelo Calenga stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's defenders and the ball went out. After 28 minutes of play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Franco Mussoll made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aloísio Vargas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fábio Garcia hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Mussoll came free, but Aloísio Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aloísio Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Gallego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franco Mussoll made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Franco Mussoll reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aloísio Vargas. The goal made the score 0-3. The supporters of Inter de Guayaquil FC booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Ramón Barbosa was substituted for Perivaldo Valle. Vicente Chaves scored 1-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danilo Villafane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 83 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Simão. 87 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Chaves came free, but Danilo Villafane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
