Club13's Horaţiu Zmărăndache got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Perivaldo Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niculae Urducea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Naldo Guedes got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Dorel Călimanescu fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club13's protests and gave Dorel Călimanescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Club13 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorel Călimanescu to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Club13's goalkeeper Niculae Urducea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Naldo Guedes. The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vicente Chaves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gelu Pătran charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gelu Pătran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Club13 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gelu Pătran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niculae Urducea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Chaves in the 31st minute of play. Niculae Urducea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Vicente Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niculae Urducea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Chaves, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Club13's Niculae Urducea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Chaves in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Club13 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Lozovan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club13's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Vicente Chaves scored to the left of an out of position Niculae Urducea, making the score, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horaţiu Zmărăndache made a kick off. With his leg Aloísio Vargas managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Club13's Horaţiu Zmărăndache fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Valle in the 63rd minute of play forced Club13's goalkeeper Niculae Urducea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Club13's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Abreu came free, but Niculae Urducea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube made a substitution. Ramón Barbosa replaced Ian Abreu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Chaves in the 73rd minute of play forced Club13's goalkeeper Niculae Urducea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Caloian hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Niculae Urducea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramón Barbosa went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Chaves in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niculae Urducea saved Club13 from getting behind. After 79 minutes of play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Ramón Barbosa made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niculae Urducea was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 84 minutes, Iustin Rebengiuc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club13 and the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Club13 got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Rebengiuc. If Perivaldo Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Club13's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Guedes came free, but Niculae Urducea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89thth minute of the game Ramón Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club13's Niculae Urducea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Vicente Chaves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Niculae Urducea. Club13's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vicente Chaves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fully deserved thier win.
