The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bruno Foro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pilar FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bruno Foro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Bruno Foro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Diogo Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Luís Fabiano Palmeira hit a great ball. Roger de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Jerardo in the 23rd minute of the match. Roger de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Fertus in the 25th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Diogo Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Pilar FC's Severino Umbruso in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute, Generoso Jerardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Pilar FC's zone, Roger Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliberto Mederi came out of the goal and Roger Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Pilar FC's Feliberto Mederi got control of the ball when Roger Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Romulo Nahia kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Raimundo Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pilar FC's Roque Fertus couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ. Severino Umbruso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feliberto Mederi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ were furious when Luís Fabiano Palmeira was red carded, 76 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 84 minutes into the match, Pilar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Furlan came free, but Feliberto Mederi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Roger de Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ from getting a goal against them. Feliberto Mederi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Melo in the 96th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
