Roger de Souza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Ismael Proença hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oséas Veiga to make the kick off. Fiori Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Barros got free with Fiori Vaz in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Oséas Veiga sped through Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roger de Souza. If Elivélton Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fiori Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Teles in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton Berger in the 88th minute of play forced Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's goalkeeper Roger de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Oséas Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
