Ramiro Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roque Fertus in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, Pendotiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Roque Fertus made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Dias. Pendotiba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Roman Firmo made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alvaro Ortzi. Ramiro Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Vasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luciano Millan hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Pendotiba's Ramiro Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Nahia in the 46th minute of play. Paulão Quirino's late challenge caught a Pilar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulão Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ramiro Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romulo Nahia in the 56th minute. Pendotiba's Ramiro Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Pendotiba from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Pilar FC booed when Pendotiba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulão Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romulo Nahia came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ramiro Dias could save by the left post. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Juan Barral put in a rough tackle. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pendotiba! When the match had been going on for 71 minutes, Pilar FC's Federico Vasco got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ramiro Dias. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Fertus in the 76th minute of play forced Pendotiba's goalkeeper Ramiro Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Paulão Quirino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeo Benvide was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 91 minutes into the game, Romulo Nahia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ramiro Dias. Romulo Nahia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Romulo Nahia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Ramiro Dias made a huge save. 97 minutes into the game, Rodriguinho das Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pendotiba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pilar FC the free kick. The referee gave Pilar FC a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Federico Vasco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pendotiba's Ramiro Dias. 1-4. Pilar FC played a much better game than Pendotiba and deserved their victory. The Pendotiba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
